Safari Booking Cancellation

Safari permits for Rajaji National Park are issued by the Uttarakhand Forest Department. Once the permit is confirmed, it is generally non-transferable and non-refundable as per government rules. Visitors are advised to verify travel dates and personal details carefully before confirming the booking.

Cancellation by Visitor

If a visitor chooses to cancel a safari booking after confirmation, refund eligibility will depend on the cancellation time and applicable forest department policies. In most cases, government safari permit charges are non-refundable.

Service charges or booking assistance fees may also be non-refundable depending on the stage of the booking process.

Cancellation by Authorities

Safari operations may sometimes be cancelled due to weather conditions, forest restrictions, natural disasters, or government orders. In such situations, refunds or rescheduling options will follow the official policies of the forest department.

No Show Policy

If visitors fail to arrive at the safari entry gate at the scheduled reporting time, the booking may be treated as a “No Show”. In such cases, no refund will be applicable for the missed safari.

Incorrect Information

Visitors must provide accurate details such as name, age, and valid government ID proof while booking the safari. If incorrect information is provided, the safari permit may be rejected by forest authorities and the booking may be cancelled without refund.

Refund Processing

If a refund is approved under applicable conditions, the amount will be processed through the original payment method. Refund processing time may take between 7 to 10 working days depending on the payment gateway and banking procedures.

Changes to Booking

Changes to safari dates or visitor details may not always be possible once the permit has been issued. Any modification request will be subject to availability and forest department rules.
